Book a consultation and bring your garments to be altered. Sarah is an expert pattern maker and sewist and can troubleshoot fit issues with you. With 20 years of sewing, couture garment making and design experience she can assess and come up with a plan to fit, adjust or remake your garments.
This 30 minute session includes pinning and alteration notes on each piece with an estimate of pricing. Typical turnaround of alteration work is 2-4 weeks. Rush alterations are also accepted with a rush fee. We will contact you via email to schedule your session after we receive your $35 consultation booking purchase.
Services:
We specialize in womenswear garments, both everyday wear and special occasion wear including formal wear, gowns, and reworking garments with unique requirements. Some basic pricing for alterations are listed below. More involved pieces require an estimate after the consultation. Based on the complexity of the piece, hourly pricing ranges from $45-$65 an hour. Please note, we do not work on tailored men’s suiting.
- Basic hems: $45-$65
- Removing zipper and inserting new zipper: $75-$90
- Sizing down pants: $45-$135
- Sizing down blouse: $45-$135
- Sizing down dress: $90-$180
