How they are made

Each butterfly is cut from remnant fabric — you may recognize some special fabrics used from a garment you may own or from the collection. This is a wonderful use of the small scrap pieces that have been saved. No tiny piece goes to waste!

The Butterfly Brooch is made from two contrasting fabrics folded and sewn origami style to achieve a dimensional shape. A coordinating metal pin is sewn to the back.
